iPhone Case

Sticky stuff. So it's a one-time application. I've pealed a bit back to reapply better and it doesn't leave any residue on the iPhone if that's your worry.

Hence mine is in a rubber case, I always have said that holding the phone is like holding a bar of soap, the thing seems to be cover in teflon or something.

Yuppers. I've got the incase one and its great.. its sometimes too hard to get out of a pocket!

The fit isnt as snug as I'd have liked - the case appears to widen out around the centre of the screen, but I imagine thats mainly due to the force it took to get the thing in there!

If the incase was made of thicker rubber it would be nigh on perfect.. :)

How did you find the slider case?

I posted my feelings in the previous page :)

Just got my incase slider, it's okay............

Pros - Snug fit, pretty, shiny and nice feel
Con - it scratch like any ipod of yesteryear, harder to reach the buttons compared to a rubber case, but the deal breaker for me is this and probably not fair to apply this to everyone.

I had stuck on a screen protector on the iphone, and at the bottom i got it a little to close to the edge, and may be even about 1/4 mm (if that) over to the shiny bezel. Because the case is so snug, when it is on, it catches that bit of screen film and pushes it in a bit a as a result it creates a bubble at both bottom corners. I just can't live with that and going to return it to apple under the 7 days distance selling regulation.

Just got off the phone with them, and spoke to some girl call Kim from Texas who has a Dreammmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmy accent :D It is all go now to return it, she is going to email me the return address and relevant details.

It's been 5 days now and I am still going to sent it back, more so that i have the incase rubber case.

D'oh - Am gonna have to start using my eyes... thats twice today I've neglected to take in what was in front of me!

Cheers for that..

As i say - the incase one is great - but my only niggle is the fit - but its no biggy! :)

*promises to read in future....*

Im still loving my in-case slider.

I had the same issue with the screen protector, so took it off.

To be honest i dont feel the iphone needs a screen protector.

Incase slider gets the Thumbs Up from me :D

The other thing is that I would feel bad getting the incase slider all scratched up as well. I'd get no problems with the rubber one. :)

lol i know what you mean though,

I have the shiny black, and instead of polishing the phone all the time, im now polishing the case lol

:D

If the incase slider was like £5 then i wouldn't feel so bad, but the bloody thing is like £30. And if and when it gets all scratched up it'll just look really bad anyway plus i don't like hard plastic cases these days as i've read stories of them shattering when hitting the ground then the phone itself landing bare on the ground.

I'll either go no case (like my old SE phones) or i'll spent ages getting the right case for it, like my N95 and my itouch.

Ok......i think i almost became an expert in iphone cases

So far I have had.

Ecell £4 - Cheap and cheerful, good fit to start with and full protection for the iphone as it comes with a screen protector. Hwoever the rubber is very soft, and after a few weeks of use it becomes loose and the bezel starts to show because it is loose.

Incase Slider £30 - Pros - Snug fit, pretty, shiny and nice feel
Con - it scratch like any ipod of yesteryear, harder to reach the buttons compared to a rubber case, but the deal breaker for me is this and probably not fair to apply this to everyone.

I had stuck on a screen protector on the iphone, and at the bottom i got it a little to close to the edge, and may be even about 1/4 mm (if that) over to the shiny bezel. Because the case is so snug, when it is on, it catches that bit of screen film and pushes it in a bit a as a result it creates a bubble at both bottom corners. Mainly because of this i have returned it.

Incase Rubber £22 - Best one so far, really well fit, harder rubber than the Ecell and the moulding is better too, and the headphone jack hole is better cut, the Ecell isn't a perfect circle where the Incase rubber is. It covers more over the bezel than the Ecell and it doesn't cause the bubble affect like the slider does. I know it won't come loose over time as i have had the same version for the itouch and i've had that since March and it is still the same as the day i got it. The only down side is that sometimes when you take it out of the pocket, the pocket comes out with it as it is quite grippy.

Foof £13 - Very pretty case/bag, protects the phone when not in use, however useless when you are using it. So good for putting it in your bag, not so good if you keep your phone in pockets. Also some report of the threads in them coming apart, but their customer service is supposed to be great, just email them a photo of the defect and they sent you a new one.

iMat 2 £6 (on order) - this is a stick on leather "case", it only protects the phone from scratches it seems and would be useless in a phone v tarmac situation. But if you use it with a foof then i would expect it is a good combo as it is thin enough to put it on and then put it inside a Foof bag. It also add the all important grip to the iphone too which by itself it is like covered in teflon.

Got my iMAT2 today, just as I imagined it would be. Goes well with the foof.
