iphone down to £169

Unlocked mine last night, everythings working fine but i keep getting an annoying message when i check my mails

"could not activate edge, you are not subscribed to edge".

Using a regular 02 pay and go sim, anyone know how to get rid of the message?
 
While they're still going for silly amounts on the bay, I'm tempted. Bit too much effort at the moment though, too much else to do :(

Think you need to alter the settings for EGDE. Or is it that PAYG doesn't do EGDE? Can't remember. Sorry, that didn't turn out very helpful :p
 
Just activated my iphone, I had everything ready to unlock it to use my T-mobile sim but changed my mind at the last minute and sighned up with o2. I decided that I wanted it working at it's best and with unlimited data downloads etc as I would not get that with my current contract and didn't want the hassel of trying to get the phone in a state I was happy with after unlocking it.
 
Well took the plunge today and bought the Iphone :D Havn't done much as I want to get a case on it asap before I unlock it etc. Gonna be using the Pwnage tool for it as it seems very easy. Anyone else used it? Bit annoying my headphones don't fit (got an adapter) but can't wait to use it.
 
AFK_Matrix, what sim you gunna be using that with? I'd be interested to know how you get on with it as a new user as I plan on getting one tomorrow :)
 
I will be putting my Tmobile sim in it as I am now off contract but I may well be off to work in the US in october so I obviously don't want to sign up to a new contract.

I just have to find out if I need the Blackberry plan I have at the mo or weather I can cancel it.
 
went to play with one in the shop last night, theres only one thing that annoyed me, when txting/writing memos etc is there anyway to tilt the keypad so that it is horizontal instead of vertical? It would be so much better
 
Well I might pop into town an get the iPhone this morning. How many people here are running the iPhone on Vodafone and how does it perform?

Annoyingly not. You can when browsing the web but not when texting. Im sure they could fix this in an update though. The dictionary is pretty damn clever though and seems to know what you actually meant most the of the time.

Installed ScummVM last night on my iPhone and am playing through Monkey Island at the minute. Superb!

ZOMG Are you serious? Can you post details (assuming its allowed?)
 
If it used the widescreen keyboard for texting, you'd need to use both hands. I know I'd never use it. I don't use it for Safari either.
