Iphone insurance

if you are trying to save for uni, why are you paying out for something like an iphone ;]

Just to add to posts reference insurance as part of your bank account...

I have a Lloyds TSB Platinum current account and this provides free mobile insurance. I have just called to check and they cover any handset up to £2000, with the standard things; theft, accidental damage, water and liquid damage, electrical and mechanical failure and unauthorised calls.

They also said I could add another family members phone to the same deal for just £5 a month. So definitely worth checking if other family members have a similar account and attach yours to theirs.

Just called the bank, apparently when you do try to claim back for loss/theft/... you need a proof of purchase, and if you don't have a receipt, you can get a proof of purchase from the operator, as they can tell which phone the Sim Card is used in via IMEI number

Lloyds Silver account is what im doing. European travel insurance, AA Breakdown Cover and mobile phone insurance all for £7.50 a month

In your opinion, would buying the iphone on o2 payg then using a simplicity sim make it harder to insure as your not using the sim that came with the card?

Hopefully they'll be fine then mate, as said I can't offer any practial knowlege on them, but Natwest just wanted the make, model, IMEI and that was all, possibly serial too I think,
