iPhone software unlocked OOTB 1.1.2 and 1.1.3

Hmm on mine I have got to the stage where i need to use iBrickr and it just sticks at the "please wait while we contact your phone" before the process displays "Not responding".
Bit of a bugger :(

Edit: Rebooting the PC and the iPhone at once seems to have sorted it :D

so all those running 1.1.3, is it worth the hassle, everything iv read suggests that I should stay on 1.1.2, with the new release being buggy as hell and heavy on battery usage.

any feedback guys?

Initially i thought moving to 1.1.3 was a big mistake, lol just like the time i upgraded to x64 vista. Only had 1.1.3 two days now and im really starting to get the feel for it, not much has changed and a few of the apps on installer are a bit buggy but now my iphone is all set up for the SDK release now so fingers crossed i shouldnt have to do any more worring about up/down grading

Moving the icons without customise is soo much better and the multiple sms as native is a good addition as well, maps work fine after a single use of locate me

Summerboard works a treat after the applicable work arounds

If i wasnt so addicted to useless apps id still be on official 1.1.3(well except for the unlock i suppose)

Battery life seems much the same, im lucky to get a day out of it regardless as im allways on the thing :P

SSH is well known for eating the battery, just make sure you install services if you install SSH on 1.1.3 so you can turn it off. SSH icon wont shoe on 1.1.3 (well it didnt for me anyways)

Very happy i made the move

well upgraded mine to 1.1.3 last night, went without a hitch as well :)

Everything ceratainly feels a bit snappier now, especially texting and browsing, have to see if notice a hit on battery life. the ability to add bookmarks to the home page is nice, as is the text multiples.

I also unlocked it for any sim just to see if it would work, it took a few times, at first it kept on erroring, but on the 4th or 5th attempt at installing the program it worked, tried it with my works T mobile sim and the missus orange one, both work great. my boss is a little peeved, he bought the sim solution just last week, £70 :p

Mine 16gb iPhone is jailbroken now too, version 1.1.3 :)

Only problem being that if I get a call and "decline" it, the caller is disconnected instead of being forwarded to Voicemail.

Anyone given this ZiPhone thingy a go?

I'm half tempted to jailbreak again, but, I just can't be bothered, not when the SDK is (supposedly) just around the corner.

I just used it after upgrading to 1.1.3. It's as simple as putting the iphone into recovery mode and typing one command.

Jailbroken 1.1.3 is all setup for SDK, do it and enjoy both. I tried living without installer for a week after I upgraded to 1.1.3 official...... Was the worst week I've had for ages, I got so used to checking for updates I didn't know what to do without it :p

A mate has just tried to unlock a brand new iphone from CPW.

He turned it on to make sure it worked, then followed the instructions and it just hung showing the apple symbol. We waited for about 15 minutes but nothing happens.

Now the phone wont boot properly, it just turns on and displays the apple logo and nothing else.

Any ideas on what to do?

Connect it to iTunes, boot the phone to DFU restore mode, wait till iTunes finds the iphone in restore mode (the iphone should have a black screen) and then restore to 1.1.3 or 1.1.2 whichever he started with 1st. Then start the jailbreak again or just leave it official

Hope it works, keep us updated

Ah he's just done that, and got the unlock and jailbreak to work this time with the new instructions on the guide site.

ZiPhone -v -b
