Iphone

I really don't know why people complain about £269 being too much for the iPhone. Sure it is a lot of money, but people are suggesting the N95 8GB as an alternative which costs nearly £500 PaYG.

The K850i even costs £299 PaYG.

I think the point being the iPhone isnt avalible PYG your supposed to pay the £269 plus the 18months at £35 or above

Think you've totally missed the point, PAYG the iPhone would cost about £750 does that seem a fair price for what is basically just another general phone with a nice touchscreen and/or interface?

True but why would you want an N95, ugliest phone ever made and its thick as hell compared to the iphone.

I quite like the look of the N95 and N95 8gb plus it means im not tied to O2 for how ever long their exclusive is, I get a fully featured phone not some cut down fashion accesory and its cheaper. Win Win all round as far as im concerned

Please enlighten me how it costs £750.

Well it is also an iPod Touch aswell as a phone. The 8GB iPod Touch is £199, so I think £70 for the ability to have it as a phone is pretty good deal.

This is golden. Seriously, you're totally rulling out a £35 per month 2 year contract? Thats not aprticulary free is it? If you want it sim free like the N95 you mentioned, it is about £750 or 999 euros, like everywhere has been reporting the last week almost! (Hint: here).
You can't possibly include the fact that the iPhone "has a touch built in as well", iPod and Touch are just marketing words for "MP3 player" and walkmen phones and nokia's too (with large hard drives as well upto 8gb) have been able to do this for a good few years now, and the touch screen SE w950 and all other sumbian phones had "internet capabilities" too as Steve so nicely put it, basically it has a decent browser, fact is the SE and nokias have 3g *as well*...
So no i still do not believe its worth £750.

Err the contract costs £630 so thats a phone costing £1000, and that doesn't even get you any EDGE data transfer!

XDA phones cost no where near that much and are far superior, 3G or HSDPA, MMS, decent SMS, bluetooth that doesn't just operate headsets, supports all video and music formats, GPS, the list goes on. Do Apple still not let you install 3rd party software on it? Why anyone would ever buy from a company that puts huge restrictions on what you can do with the £1000 phone you just bought, I'll never know.

Wow, I seriously never knew about this. I thought that the £269 you pay was to buy the iPhone out-right with no contract.

I appologize, it serously isn't worth it.

I know that 'iPod' and 'Touch' are just marketing names an MP3 player, but I think the superior screen size, touch capabilities, interface and web browser make it abit more than an MP3 player.
