Nor me. Enabled Labs (I know it is enabled as I see the new resize window options). Can't see anywhere to download an actual desktop client
Edit: It's here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/install/bbc_iplayer_desktop (On top of the Adobe Flash Player, which you probably already have if you use iPlayer already, you will be prompted to install Adobe Air).

Same, no option to download anything for me either.

A little dialogue box appears in the download page... but then it barfs trying to install Adobe AIR 
I can get the all the UK programs I want with a little searching but this would have been nice.
I wonder if this torrents in the background without permission like the windows client!

Only certain shows are available (I don't know much about Adobe Air, but maybe the newer files are encoded in this format etc ?).
Go to this week's watchdog episode and the download button will appear (I had already installed the desktop app so dunno if this is a pre-requisite).
I have no sniffing software on my MacBookPro, but when I downloaded the show, it maxed out my line (1.3mb a sec) for the whole duration of the download, leading me to believe that it is downloading directly from a http-like server
, as opposed to P2P. (K-service, like many P2P apps never maxes your download initially, and usually not a steady rate for the whole download).

Again, I need to look into what Adobe Air does (is it a p2p app, an adobe DRM tool, a flash player variant? I dunno). Ive installed the app to my macbook. Still get no options to download any programs through it or the bbc iplayer website. Not topgear, nothing!
EDIT - to get the download option, u need to go to bbc iplayer home, bbc labs and click on 'I want to be a tester.' Prior to this, the download option is not available!

Am I missing something or does the standard iPlayer site not provide a simple episodes-of-a-given-show as one of the RSS feed options? Absolutely retarded.
says desktop player is already installed weird, ive reinstalled it still no joy
Thanks mate, finally worked can now see the download link, BBC couldn't organise a **** up in a brewery.
