Seeing as the Apple store is **** poor at finding album art, was wondering if there is away if you get a picture of it you can paste it in yourself.

Tried a few things but nothing work and it starting to royaly peeve me off TBH.

I use other cd retailer websites, highlight the songs on the album, right click, info, drag the image from the website onto the relevant box on itunes.

Note - the bigger the image size, the better :)

Does iTunes still have that box you can drag album art into? I used to do that and it would appear on my iPod but in the recent versions of iTunes I've had, that box is no more.

Is it any option somewhere?

View > Show artwork iirc. Not got iTunes at college so can't check. :p

That is correct but I think it just displays the artwork of the album currently playing.

It used to be there was a box that said 'Drag album art here' or something equally as witty but now it just says 'No Album Artwork Displayed'.

I'm at Uni so I can't go messing around, maybe that's the same box and they've removed the helpful sentence.

Aha, yup. I remember that box, I'm not sure if you can drag stuff there or not now though. I just go via the show info window.

That box was killed off and replaced by "currently playing", not sure if you can drag there though.

The alternative is to press Option+I or right click and "get info".

..might be worth noting that dragging images direct from the web actually creates a larger image size than dragging off your computer (even if it's the same image).

Over a larger library you can save a good few hundred megs :)

Apparently you can;

Oh right, cool.

All my albums are up to date so I couldn't confirm ;):p

I've used Google Images, Amazon, Last FM, Jason's Artwork database and allcdcovers.com to get mine as I've never found 1 place that can get all my artwork in one hit.

I use an awesome wee prog called album art thingy. If you have a large selection of music, it rocks! you have it running in the background, load up itunes and when you double click on an album without art, it searches for it and adds it automatically (for the whole album if you want, set it in the options).

Its only been wrong once, everything else has been 100% :) If you have 80gb, it will be a lot quicker than some other progs that i have tried!
