Someone on the verge rang apple and he was getting the 6th gen in the UK. When I spoke to them they just said it will be upto 6weeks grrr.

Someone else on MR from the UK posted today saying he just got his shipping email and it's a 6G nano.

Why does it? Their not obliged to give you even a refurb.

Oh this is sounding promising, mine has been pending since last week. I can be patient for a 6th gen, even though I would like a 1st. Mine was an engraved iPod that I got for my 21st birthday in 2006.

Just checked mine and it switched tovreplacement pending on 20th...shame return address is my work place and it is closed until new year....

i just got my replacement complete email from Apple It has the new ipod serial number included in the email and it looked up the serial number, its a 6th gen ipod! I should recieve in 2 business days!

Excellent, so they would seem to have exhausted the 1st gen refurb supplies.

I'm yet to send my gf's off, had the envelope since last month! Will get it sorted once I'm home near the end of the week.

Finally got a shipping email, receiving a 6th gen. I sent mine off literally the day It started.

Edit: recieved today too! Weird, email between 6am-10am then received about 11am.
