Ipod Touch and Iphone 1.1 Officially hacked

I'm buying it because 1) I'm changing networks anyway 2) my current handset is ooooold 3) just started some extra projects at work + overtime so I'll have the cash to spare 4) I have just bought the mrs an engagement ring so I deserve something for myself :p

If I had to spend money just to be in the same situation then I wouldn't go for it :)

I am dreading seeing the teens with it though..

How is it overpriced when there is nothing on the market anywhere nears its level?Sure it lacks 3g, but these are minor parts compared to its size, screen, multi touch, advanced OS for its size, amazingly smooth UI, 8gb storage built in for a phone, google maps, youtube, etc etc, you cant simply point out the negatives and criticise the price without pointing out the overwhelming amount it has over is nearest rivals.

I wouldn't say it has an overwhelming amount over its rivals, I can get youtube, google, google maps on my phone, and have been able to for years.

I agree its OS is very advanced, but it is lacking in features which you'd really expect for the price of the handset.

I am a fan of Apple (typing this on a MacBook!) but I'm just disapointed with the iPhone.

The iPhone is overpriced in the sense that I'm not willing to pay for it. £269 for the handset, fine, I think that is a fair price. But £35pm minimum contract for 18 months? No thanks.

Sure, its going to sell regardless but wake me up when its on PAYG.

I do quite fancy the idea of having a snes emulator on my touch! But I can't imagine how you'd actually control the thing... Surely itd be crap even if the touch will be able to handle it?
