ipswich ripper

This person is a nutter and clearly quite good at what they do to get away with it.
However, they wont get away with it for long, lets hope its all over soon.

Well has there ever been a women serial killer of this type? I would be very surprised.

Yes there has, Aileen Wournos. She didn't kill male prostitutes though.

Her killing according to her stemmed back from the fact that she was abused as a child. She was pregnant at 13 allegedly by her grandfather.

She also prostituted herself from time to time, according to her the first time she killed was because a guy she was with was trying to kill her.

She went on to kill 7 men.

She was a lesbian also, not sure of the relevance of that but she was.

I have seen the movie of her life ('Monster') as portrayed by a very heavily made-up Charlize Theron which I can recommended as compelling viewing.

Try and find a picture of Charlize Theron as Aileen Wournos, the likeness is very scary!

Also her, voice and mannerism in the film were very much like Wournos herself.

Yeah she looks amazing in the film (ie. nothing like her normal beautiful self) and her performance is outstanding. I think she won an oscar didn't she?

My theory:

For the prostitutes to get in his car so easily in light of the recent killings he probably is a regular and well known. I reckon he has caught a disease, AIDS, hepatitis, of one and is deciding to get some revenge. If hes dying anyway life in prison isnt too scary.

I know I'll get flamed for saying this, but I will anyway. On BBC News 24 a woman in Ipswich was being interviewed. She said that she used to walk home alone but would't anymore out of fear. My thought line went like this:

a) you are an 18 stone beast and I bet you don't walk
b) it would be a brave killer to want to carry your body
c) nobody in their right mind would pay to have sex with you

I know, I know, but it's still true :(

There are men who like the bigger woman and there are men that will pay for it.

Lets all hope women that you approach feel the same way about u as you do about that woman .

What is it with the stupid morons in this thread and their idiotic comments??, jeez i do wonder about the human race and the lack of compassion for others...Anyways lets hope they catch this nutcase soon...even though i dont agree with what line of work these women do...they still are human beings and no one should be killed for trying to make a bit of money to feed themselves or their families.

The majority of my family and frinds live in Ipswich and it's quite shocking when something like this is close to home.
Same here - I was born in Ipswich and the majority of my relatives live in villages around the outskirts of the town.

My Nan lives about a couple of miles away from Copdock Mill where the second victim was found - I've driven down the stretch of road they had cordoned off last Friday many times over the years, as it used to be the old main road into Ipswich from Colchester.

Quite sickening that this is happening on my 'home turf' and I wondered how long it would take for the perpetrator to be labelled the Suffolk Ripper - yesterday's edition of the Sun (who else?) duly obliged.

I'm no amateur psychologist, but if he has reached the stage where he's starting to think he's untouchable, let's hope he soon makes the mistake that will drop himself right in it ...

Jesus, they're only prostitutes. It's not like anyone is going to be missing them except the desperate low-lives that utilise their services.
What about the 9 year old daughter of the first victim?

Again, why call him a ripper, he aint ripped anyone, same as the yourshire ripper, he never cut anyone open.

Didn't you read my post above?
The modus operandi of the Yorkshire Ripper was that he cut their bowels open and wrapped the intestines around their necks.
This was how they knew it was him.

Er wasn't that Jack the Ripper ?

The suffolkator. That's what we should call him/her.
Since there is no ripping involved.

Also, this prompted me to read crime library for ages and then read up on some Jeffrey Dahmer guy.
I clicked the pics on another site and threw up a bit in my mouth.

Ted Bundy was in the elite league of serial killers along with Dahmer and Gacy.

In a similarly shocking case that attracted the world media; from my home city, Rose West.

Similarly shocking maybe but not really similar cases.

There are loads of female serial killers, a quick google reveals this as the very first link:

I know there have been female serial killers but there have not been loads at all. Relatively there has been very few. I did say 'of this type'. I'd be very surprised if the murder of these women is by another women. Of course it is possible but I saw no comparison on that site you linked to. Interesting that one of the references was the book, 'Murder Most Rare'...just my point.

Agreed - what Jack the Ripper did to his victims, particularly the final one, was absolutely horrific.

As far as I knew - happy to be proved wrong - Peter Sutcliffe either strangled or killed his victims with a blow to the head. Or is that just what the media led everyone to believe?

I think he used a claw hammer.
