Did qualifying and race tonight.
Qualifying meant I started 6th, had a clean start and then about 5 clean laps reeling in 5th place. Made a clean pass on 5th with a better exit on the last turn and being in front by turn 1.
It was all going great and then the next thing I know, I'm watching a reply of myself.
Connection lost.
Rejoined, in last place, a few more laps and same again.
Rejoined again and managed to turn laps to the end.
Try again tomorrow.

Ruf in GT3
Only -0.01 SR, so not exactly a disaster.
It was disappointing because I was running well and feeling comfortable, which I don't normally do at Brands Hatch.
Shame mate, I have been watching some BSR TV on the same race and it looks like fun 
I Ran a few USA International and in each one I got taken out by someone, managed to stay around the same SR overall for the night so not all bad!
I ran Talladega in the Carbureta cup which was fun until there was a massive pile up in front of me which wrecked most of the field, glad it didnt count for my SR
I really had hoped that moving up from rookie licence would mean cleaner races but they have all been terrible tonight

Licences are too easy to achieve to use them as a guide to player skill.
If don't race again for the rest of the season then I'll get my A licence and I certainly wouldn't class my self as anything other than average.

that sucks about the disconnects :\ had wondered what happens if someone drops, assume the car despawns after a timeout time? imagine it's pretty short timeout or be causing massive wrecks?
also cuffy I watched a bit of your Carbureta cup race xD didn't realise there was a spectate feature.... though it was asking me to configure my controls (as I uplugged the wheel), can you do more than sit at the first screen with the camera controls? don;t see why I'd need to configure if i wasn't racing xD
but yea, there was a bit of a scuffle

I didn't know there was a spectate feature either
Where is it?I did think I was going to make it through the pile up but the last car bounce off the wall and I ploughed straight into him
I actually thought half way through the race that maybe the setups were not fixed as everyone was going a lot quicker than me, but it must be the drafting as I was on my own after the pile up for most of the race!

From the my racers tab on the bottom of the home page, click on the steering wheel icon and the option to spectate is there. You have to own the content to spectate.
yea there is a while after you went to race I was bored so clicked on you to see what you were racing and where it says your friends and their status (in race or what ever) to the right of that I believe it had a "WATCH" green button saying I'm eligible to watch 
then It's just like loading up the game, has a staging timer, click watch to join, game loads then at the front screen like when you're not in your vehicle
well I wouldn't say a lot faster, the first 3 places were in pretty short time of each other to be fair. but did you see the people below you... think one guy was down 18 laps..... guess he retired from the race....or was waiting on repairs in the pits which just took half the race lol!

I was still 1.5 seconds slower
but considering I started 16th and finished 9th I was pretty happy, and I had only just bought the car and track and had only done 5 practice laps before I jumped into the race

Looking at your personal bests your times are on a par with mine if not better
Is there a way we can get in on the same race together?
You can also spectate (and more...) from the Events -> Watch / Ghost / Crew / Spot option.
As the name implies, you can Watch/Spectate, but also Ghost, Crew (as in crew chief in NASCAR) and Spot.
Ghost is why it said configure controls Sasso, you can effectively 'join' the race but as a ghost car, as in they don't see you at all.
Crew needs some setup but allows somebody to control the pit-stop changes for another, all stuff that can be done via the 'F' screens, so fuel level, tape in ovals, and a variety of other stuff depending on car, but just done by another person which could be useful at times (rather than fiddling with that whilst trying to stay under the pit limit in an oval car with no limiter...)
And Spot allows someone (or multiple people) to spot for you, so they can give you information on another persons lap times etc
