iRacing

Will be on in a for qualifying and race, kids won't be in bed in time for practice. Are we going to go on teamspeak or just in game chat

Was a damn good race. I led for a bit until me and Craig got caught up and he came out of it undamaged and my wheels were pointing all over lol! Really good fun, whens the next? :)

was good fun :D shame I was warmed up by the 17th lap into the race and not during practice haha! I narrowly avoided two cars caught up in T1...but then went off on my own accord at the first right haha :p

tryin' to hustle us boy? :P inb4 you finish 1st ;)

I'll just be happy to finish and not take anyone out xD (and hopefully not too many laps behind lol)

Heard it here first :)

I was really disappointed that we had that incident Andrew as it was good fun. :(

Lee would have won that hands down. He was already 2 seconds ahead at the start of lap 2 and I never would have caught him.

Had a quick couple of laps in the cup car and its very fast in the corners.

congrats to Craig for winning tonight!

I think bumpers cars was a very apt name in the end, especially from me! (sorry Harvey)

First you crash into me, next you spell my name wrong!

Reckon I could have avoided that crash had I realised you'd spun and not just hit the wall on the right lol

Had a squeaky bum moment when I overshot the turn at the end of the straight, to then get back on the track and a couple seconds later have 1st place come right up behind me as I was on the racing line and going slower, oops

Had a good race with Paul until I carried too much speed into turn 1 and hit the wall. I think Paul must have followed my line in and ran into the back of me, or he couldn't avoid me.

I think the fact the iRacing is unaffected sort makes you a bit more reckless, or at least I think you try to make passes that you might not attempt in an official race. It's quite liberating in a way.

Hope to do it again sometime.

I don't mind taking a turn paying for the session either.

sorry Harley :eek::eek:

Was a good race indeed, a lot of fun once i got used to the MX5 again and H-Pattern shifting, was having a good time with Barmy and i forget who, till they piled into the wall at T1, managed to escape as i braked earlier and shot down the inside, was running 2nd for while, then out braked myself into T1 at some point and wrecked, 2:45 towing, exited 5th, 2 laps later on the last lap did it again lol, but wrestled the car home the whole lap to stay 5th.

I wondered why I was gaining on you so much in the last lap :D

Well I'm up for it again if everyone else is, maybe a different car to mix it up?

Cheers for hosting cuffylad, my race was shocking as I kinda expected, I found the roadster really quite nasty on cold tyres, after a couple of laps I could put in consistent times but until that point if I tried to go fast I just crashed :p

Congrats Craig :)

Oh bugger, i think in that mx5 race, when i hit the wall i might have either broke something inside my wheel or something came loose, making a knocking sound - had to turn the FFB up from 10% ive been using in the RUF's to around 35% just to feel the MX5 last night and the crash was pretty heavy lol.

Question is, do i risk taking it apart or contact thrustmaster and the possibilty of not having a wheel for a few weeks.

I'd forgotten how little grip you had in the MX5 on cold tyres. Even when you've done a few laps, it's a tricky car to drive around some of the corners at Charlotte.

You could contact them to say your fan had stopped working and they'll send you a new one with instructions on fitting. That way you won't void your warranty.

I'm pretty sure I've read that's way they do.

No worries. I dont know what was up with me but 3 nights ago I did 5 races at Charlotte and I was lapping 1:23's consistanly and always finished in the top 3. Then on race day I struggled to do 1:25's, was weird!!!

I still have some funds left on my account so dont mind sorting another one out, any suggestions for cars and tracks?

I'm just happy I wasn't first to crash ;) Yeah Up for more races! need to get my road up to a class D to get a few more cars available to me (I believe this is how it works as I bought 3 months I have access to a few right? or will once I hit requirements)
