ok everything connected, but got a lot of work doing cables and stuff. initial impressions, having come from Moza, i have to say the quality is on another level, it feels like a proper bit of kit the base and GT Neo, im loving the GT Neo for sure. the downside, the pedals are shocking atm, the quality but having come from simsonn pro plus is poor, these feel a bit cheaply made and will need a lot of sorting, the elastomers very little travel at all, brake is like a rock, i like my brake hard but will little travel, so will need to get down and dirty by looks, the m6 bolts are too short for my rig pedal plate thickness, so had to quick journey to b&q. that rubber mat on foot rest is terrible so staying off, next few hrs of cable management coming up followed by hrs of brake adjusting, oh the the travel of accelerator is huge, feel like i need to add a 2ft block to my foot:cry::cry:

ps ignore desktop pic, my kids whenvery young lol

Yeah the brake pedal is like pushing against a brick wall. Change the elastomers to all black, much softer and better travel.

That's a lovely set-up

What monitor is that?

I've used a TV, super ultrawide, VR and triples for sim racing and for the ease of use for the FOV offered super ultrawide was the winner. Love VR for the immersion, I feel like I'm in the car and on a track but the summer heat is a nuisance and fun spoiler.
Monitor is Odyssey G9. I think thats what its called anyway.

yeah im struggling to find a setup atm, those simsonn pro plus were and are amazing pedals i paid under 100 quid and tbh adjustability is off the scale. also finding the p700 small and i aint got big feet, lifted face up and tilted back, but thats it for ajustment.
finally got into to do setup in game for the gt neo, most cables hidden now, but boxes wont fit in me cabinets like the moza, so its new side cabinets needed, doh. shattered now, need a rest after all that potching.
excuse the pic but its all straight, i was leveling for hours, wheres my bath for aching old bones:cry:

You're not wrong about the aching old bones. I'm 41 and took me 3 days get over the aches building this damn thing.

i have a winner, after an age playing these pedals, and coming to conclusion these simagic elastomers are utter garbage, i swapped in some of my simsonn one and a more stiffer lager spring, size wise its border line, but i have my old brake feeling back, ish, its nearly bang on :D

bit of an update, i just cant get on with the P700, its night and day difference with my simsonn, the p700 feels like a toys compared the well build pro plus pedals, i struggled all day yesterday trying to ajust my accel and braking, but just didnt have the confidence, i brake i found better after after using my elastomers and a different spring, but the accel pedal is either way to light or way to heavy and way to long travel, even with stoppers in there, so ive taken them off gone back to simsonn and feel like everything is right again, i think its because maybe im used to bigger pedals, the p700 i think were more designed for carpet. anyway stick them up for sale later, or tomorrow.

me after i went back to my pro plus :D

That's a shame you don't get on with the P700's but as the bundle was cheaper with the pedals than without and as you can sell them and go back to your Pros it's still a win :D

Took me a few days but got my pedal haptic(s) sorted out... Had to dust off and update the software on my 3d printer, then went down a few rabbit holes trying to improve that. Then got a model off thingiverse for mounting the cheapo aliexpress speakers but decided I didn't like it, it basically was designed to be glued/cable tied onto the pedals and the speaker to the mount and thought I could do better so I did, eventually :p Now got a mount that has some countersunk holes to mount the speaker to the mount then threaded inserts to mount that to the pedals, much better :p

Then some fiddling with simhub to get it working, had a bit of an issue initially as I set all the volume sliders/knobs to maximum but it seems I was hitting some limit/cutoff somewhere cause I'd only get one pulse every so often. Reduced the slider in simhub and it started working as expected though.

It really is a gamechanger on ABS imo, been doing some GT4 laps again and just so much easier to find that point than trying to associate some flashing lights with it if that makes sense...

Decided to print another for the throttle pedal, don't think it's necessary or even really gonna add much (especially with the iRacing telemetry limitations) but got the speaker as they came in pairs, the amp is stereo and now got the model to print and mount it so why not chuck it on there for the lols :p

Yeah I really need to sort out my haptics, have had the speakers for ages but been too lazy to get them running lol

On another note how bloody good are the TCR's now? Raced today at Watkins glen and had a blast

Never got into the TCRs, wrong wheel drive innit :p Was looking at the 4 hours of Thruxton though so might pick one up for that...

Did some more GT4 practice last night, at COTA got down to a mid-2:18, which seems about 2s off the best I've seen in practice but also 'most' seem closer to the 2:19/20's level, 17's and 16's seem pretty rare. Good copium that :D I looked on Garage61 to check and I think my lap was like 9th (in the McLaren specifically) which was a surprise... That was fixed setup btw, think the open setups are into the 15's but not going there yet :p

Finally got around to doing my first GT4 race, felt confident enough to not be a complete menace so off I went...

Was kinda hoping to be the slow guy so I could start towards the back and just chill but ended up being 4th iRating in my split, qualified with a 2:18.3 which was good enough for 3rd, top two were both 17.1's though, another guy with an 18.3, an 18.4 and then a gap to 18.7s downwards. So pace wise I felt pretty good with that, I'm never gonna be all that quick but good to be roughly in line with my iRating at least.

Race wise, well, didn't go great tbh :p I was 'oddly' very nervous, done so many races so bit of a surprise but definitely felt nervous and right off the bat I missed my braking point into T1 and went wide, didn't collect anyone though and rejoined somewhere down around 7th/8th I think and settled down but then second mistake for the first lap I looped it 14, felt ok through there with cold tyres but knew it is a place I could/can get a bit trigger happy with the throttle and sure enough first lap I did that, ended up waiting for the entire field to go by before rejoining. So not great but at least nobody else affected which is kinda my main priority usually :p

Rest of the race went ok but the McLaren is a struggle, so slow on the straights compared to the cars I was racing but also miles quicker through the corners. Did a 2:18.7 on the second lap in clear air, 18.8 on lap 3, then 20/21's once I caught back up. Made it past one guy but then got stuck behind a Merc, had some good battles including on the last lap, he was so slow out of T2 that I could get alongside into T3/the esses, did it the lap before last but bailed cause that be crazy then got a bit more aggressive on the last lap, he won out but went through a few corners side by side which was fun.

So the question is do I stick with the McLaren that feels nice to drive, also got the Porsche but not as comfortable in that, or do I buy one of the others...

Oh, also, I did add the haptic to the throttle pedal cause why not and then added a bit for 'road rumble' through that, basically get a slight feedback when I'm on the kerbs really, actually kinda like it although not really necessary at all it's an extra way to get feedback at least...

But also really really loving the ABS on the brake pedal, the move to load cell which wasn't that long ago really for me gave that ability to better modulate the 'threshold braking' but I was lacking the feedback in those cars with ABS, now I've got that feedback and learning to use it better I can modulate that braking so much better :)
