Building a HTPC and thinking of using IRAM PCI anyone know what the width of the IRAM is with RAm installed? Ideally it should only take up one slot.

If you use low profile modules it will be one pci slot. If you use normal DDR memory then it will take up two. The XMS corsair PC3200 i used took up used two pci slots.

thanks for the info was thinking about putting an iram in a shuttle and needed to know if it would fit :)

Why dont you fill your mobo with ram and use ramdrive software instead? No slot needed.

Good suggestion unless the OP wants to install an OS onto it for silent use. I would not recommend installing an OS as i found the i-ram very tempermental for keeping data.

Also, unless the OP has 4 memory slots in the shuttle and uses a 64bit OS, there will be not be 4gb available to use - unlike a 4gb Iram which does.
