so iran wants nuclear weapons to stop other countries bullying it...tbh im sick of the uk and usa trying to police the world and bully other countries. its about time other countries told them where to stick it.

The UK and USA aren't bullying other countries. The IAEA and UN have spoken out against the Iranian nuclear threat.

ofcourse they must be terrorists and they will kill us if we dont kill them first lol.

I think they should be able to enrich their own Uranium, and have the Nuclear Power Plants.....The Problem is the Nut they have as a President, with the type of statements he makes is it any surprise the world is watching them, It seems like he cant wait to push the button

I don't think Iran can be trusted with this responsibility, especially considering that their leader has made threats to wipe other countries from the face of the planet, oppresses his people, eliminates opposition, is deeply prejudiced against Jews and has been linked to funding terrorism in the Middle East.

Just to play devil's advocate, why can't they enrich their own Uranium?

They did try to develop nuclear weapons in total secrecy a few decades back, while telling the entire world they weren't. That's why the Western powers are taking such an issue with what the Iranians are doing.

The Iraq war was/is a joke. US/UK have lost all credibility because of it, it was based on lies (claims that Iraq had WMD's...how ironic) and its a total cluster**** of a disaster.

That country will be worse when we leave, its done nothing to help the West's relations with the Middle East and to top it all off, George W. Bush was and is a total moron.

The west, having clandestinely turned Israel into a state with nuclear weapons, now wants to ensure that Israel can maintain the position of the west's guarddog in the region. A country like Iran which, unlike Israel, is quite capable of becoming a nuclear power on it's own simply can't be tolerated can it?

To Iran it must seem like they are playing an international game in which the other players are able to make up and enforce any rules that suit them. Their only option is not to play.

I see the point, but this has always happened has it not? Alliances made, pawns in the greater game... half of the wars in the latter half of the 20th century were fought as a proxy war between USA and Russia surely?

Israel may have been able to make it as a nuclear power by itself, but why would they bother? Given the number of times they have been attacked by large scale Arab armies and had to defend their homelands, surely they deserve *some* praise for not wiping out a neighbours capital with a nuke?

I for one don't fancy waiting until Tehran launches its' first nuclear missile at Israel, (the consequences would be truly terrible) and I'm quite happy for the US/Israel to bomb these sites into oblivion to prevent it happening.

Do you actually know when Iran may obtain a nuke? Don't you think its totally irrational to start bombing a country when we really don't know all that is going on especially looking at what we've 'achieved' in Iraq?

Most of this stuff is Western media fear-mongering, trying to make the situation seem worse than it is.

Even if we dont react and they get toward the cusp of creating their own nuclear weaponry I cannot see Isreal allowing this to happen cue a big load of bomb chucking between them two with everyone else being dragged into it.
