Iron Man

Went to see it last night. Impressed 9/10.

I liked the Stan Lee cameo.. Don't think the average movie goer got that one. I heard the guy near me saying "but that's not Heff?!" ;)

I knew about the bit after the credits but the mrs was dragging me outta there, so I didn't get to see it. Gutted.

I'd go as far as saying that this is at the better end of the superhero genre, If not the best.

Just back from cinema and am very impressed, really liked the film - Downey Jr does a brilliant job as Stark - bring on the Sequel ! :)

Loved the hint near the end when Jim Rhodes looks at the old suit "Ahh maybe next time!" :D

I thought this was far better than I was expecting. Infact I didn't sit there thinking Gwyneth was the best thing on sliced bread (very hot in this movie imho ;)) and I actually watched it..
Not much to the plot - all guessable but it's a well put together enjoyable movie.

as someone who hates the Spiderman series (didn't even bother watching #3), and loves the Batman movie & the Xmen series, will I enjoy this?

contemplating going tonight to see it

I would say it would be well worth you going to see in which case - if you enjoyed Batman Begins then Iron Man should be very much your kind of movie!

Given it too is about discovery in much the way that Batman Begins develops the character of Batman from its early stages so too does Iron Man, going from when there was nothing through to a suit and the various circumstances surrounding that.

I didn't really like any of the Spiderman films (apart from Ms. Dunst) but have loved both Batman Begins and now Iron Man and am looking forward to see how they develop Starks story.

Dunst was one of the reasons that made me despise SP, lol, but that's another story

will take the mrs to see this tonight then, she liked Batman Begins (after about 2 weeks of me saying "you have to watch this")

Saw this last night, and it was superb.

Best super hero film i've seen in a very long time.

No boring parts, no nasty cheesy parts, great action scenes, loved it.

Awesome film, loved it. Proper popcorn stuff, couldn't wait till after the credits though cos I need the bog realllllly bad.
Summert to look forward too on the blu ray disk :D

Saw this last night and really enjoyed it, I expected a Superman style lameness but was happy to be wrong.
For the people annoyed at the length of the credits, just think about that 6-ish second scene at the end of Pirates of the Caribean (2)? Those were some hefty credits...

Am really looking forward to the sequel(s)

Oooo didn't know about this!... and I've had it on DVD since release!... gonna have to check it out now! (even though I've got/seen all three a number of times!!) :)

credits are there for a reason people. To credit who has worked on the film. If you cant be bothered to watch (or read them) to see an extra scene, use youtube

Doubt it, pretty good though. Not much action and dragged a bit.

Watched Iron Man this weekend gone, motivated via by the general thumbs up received here I thought best get down to the local big screen before it's gone, and I’d have to agree with majority; I was pleasantly surprised at just how good the movie turned out.

Have since Google’d; the sequel starts filming as of March 2009, with 2010 release expected.
