Is 6 inches really big enough? (pic)

if subway did 'well packed' crusty rolls with simple fillings like cheese & onion or ham & coleslaw for ~£1.20-£1.60 id use them, untill then il keep making my own

It always has to be a foot long.

Think my new favorite sub is the new Tandoori chicken with cheese, lettuce, cucumber and green peppers with the mint raita sauce.

Pure nomness.

Other favorites are the chicken and bacon ranch and the Italian BMT.

Also, the best bread to have is the hearty Italian.

I've been once, twas nasty.

MW

I've been twice, left without buying anything both times. It just doesn't look appealing, it's like the equivalent of buying your own from the value range at the supermarket... I prefer the deli counter :)

I now get a foot long veggie delight on wheat with no sauce. Keep it has healthy as possible so I feel I can treat myself to foot long :-)

Frozen Dough, Frozen Veg, hi in Fat and salt content and then they still claim it's "Fresh and Healthy" & tastes just as bad is it probably is for you!

OMFG FROZEN veggies and FAT!!! SOUND THE ALARM

This is why so many people are obese, most people have an embarrassingly bad understanding of nutrition and how our bodies work, only listening to the government to tell us to "Eat your five a day!". I was traveling with a (overweight) colleague a few months ago and he had 2 footlongs. He proclaimed "I never have mayonnaise, it's ALL fat and most of the calories come from that."

I despair.

Good afternoon good sir, spare me the precious protein and fat that will actually satiate me! I will have 12 inches of your finest carbohydrates please, didn't you hear meat and fat are bad? How many of my five a day are in this? Oh for a drink I'll have a pint of fruit juice, I haven't had nearly enough fruit today! I've heard fruit is good for you!

Rather presumptuous of you, considering you don't know me or my dietary requirements don't you think? I've seen your posts on this forum before but I don't recall you being so rude previously. If you actually want a discussion about it, I'd be happy to providing you change your tone first.

You're right, I assumed your dietary requirements based on you being human. I did not at any point consider the possibility of you in fact being some kind of small herbivore. Are you a guinae pig?

The fact you think having afoot long piece of bread is 'keeping it healthy' says enough.

Actually I said "keep it as healthly as possible". There is a difference. A 6 inch sub doesn't normally fill me up enough, and a typical footlong (actually they're 11 inches) e.g. BMT would fill me up too much. Therefore I have a veggie delight as it's a satisfying medium. Why this is turning out to be such a contraversial issue is beyond me, I'm flattered that you guys care about my dietary routine so much :p

So, explain how having 'footlong' piece of bread once in a while cannot be included as part of a balanced diet please.

Footlong BMT on cheese and herb bread. With cheese and extra grated cheese. Lettuce, Tomato, Onion, Sweetcorn, black pepper and Chipotle Southwest sauce. Wish I wasn't on a diet right now :(

I was in Subway yesterday and had a chicken tikka salad :(
