is £90 good for 3 new tires and tracking?

Yup Falkens aren't that good, infact pretty crap, well the ones i bought, these are mine after being fitted brand new a few days previous and subjected to a few laps of the 'Ring.

I had to have them changed after 4k miles.

The Dunlop sport 01's lasted 9k. The front tyres that is, the back are still going strong.

They just didn't have the feel of the Dunlops, turning in just felt vague, maybe soft walls?

Grip was ok though, didn't inspire confidence, saying that i bought them because i'm sure the lease company would go mad if i took the car in for more tyres, seeing as the nct 5's that were fitted after the sp01's had only been on a few months..

excellent, ill see if i can find fitting somewhere and get them ordered!

2x 225/45/17zr and 2x 235/45/17zr
best quote was £360 and that was for average make!
damn tyre costs :/
I'd be interested to know what you went with in the end as I need to replace the tyres on one of my sets of wheels soon and they are this size.

Last year the price on 205-225/55/16's tyres were farily reasonable. I like my new alloys, but its come at a cost :(

Edit: yeah, links to decent online tyre supliers would be appreciated too.

While we are on this topic, can someone give me some links to the best online tyre prices? Including and not including fitting? Would be a great help, looking for a pair of tyres in about 2 weeks.

No worries mate! I have to say, the best bet for fitting is to go to a kwik fit and do the job cash in hand, i can get 4 tyres fitted for 20 quid normally :P

lol? You go to kwik fit and say how much to fit tyres cash in hand? :o

why not?
the local one to me sorted my wifes exhaust for money for a few beers.
good job for a last minute job before pulling down the shutters :]

will pop in later and speak to the lads :]

Well proper 4 wheel alignments will cost you at least £60-£100 alone so i'm guessing it's only going to be a half-***** job. As for the tyres it think its already been said.

wheel alignment will cost nothing, thats unless its out by loads and isnt really drivable which shouldnt be the case
