Is 9000+ a good score on 3D Mark 2006 for a stock system?

Hi there

As per title!!

9039 3D Marks to be exact from a completely stock system on 3D Mark 2006, is that any good?

The same system scores 14650 on 3D Mark 2005, again completely stock.

It also scores 36,000 on 3D Mark 2001 again, completely stock and 3D Mark 2003 is now running?

Are these any good, is this a fast system? ;)

Nearly breaking 10k at stock is pritty darn fast if you ask me.

You could break the 10k barrier easily methinks :) :D

Must be SLi or Crossfire i assume. Not a bad score for stock. have a look at the 3DMark06 score thread for comparisons. With an X2 @ 2500Mhz and a X1800XT @ 697/798 i get just short of 4600 so its a pretty darn fast system there :D

Going on what other benchmarks I've seen, my guess would be an FX-60 with two Crossfired X1900XTXs.

come on gibbo put us out of our misery!

I doubt he will tell ya until its released on the webby.

Why? 'cos they leak out bits of info to get people interested and just before he puts it on the site he will tell us what it is and that way more people will want 'em.

*mutters* Mean I tell ya mean, mean. *end of mutter*

Given the scores for a single X1900XT I have say its more likely sli 512 mb GTX. The only problem is cost - my x2 @ 2.68Ghz and SLI 256GTX at 490/1300 can get just under 8100 3dmarks and the total cost of all three was about £100 more than a FX60 cpu on its own.

Maybe its a FX60 with one of those Asus 7800GT All in one SLI Thingymabobs... Or Even 2 for QUAD SLI!!!

Thats a good score... So maybe it is the FX60 with crossfired X1900xt'

HI there

Hows does:-

15,600 3D Mark 2005 points sound on a simple air cooled overclock?

9600 3D Mark 2006 points again with a simple air cooled overclock?

Still wanna keep guessing what this rig is? :D :D
