Absolutely not if it's 6 months old.
You're entitled to a repair or a partial refund only.
I had a graphics card sent back to overclockers because it failed, lost £260 on the "refund". Hence the reason I never shop at overclockers anymore lol.
Mine was a powercolor card too, they'd stopped making it, hence why I couldn't get it repaired or replaced. Still don't see why they couldn't replace it with a comparable card of the time though, instead of fobbing me off with a refund less than the amount the few 2nd hand cards were going for, *****.
Well OCUK sent me this XFX 6870 card- http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-205-XF&groupid=701&catid=56&subcat=1866 today.
Im very pleased, VTX are awful, I'd advise any of you guys not to go with them.
If you buy a card, use it for a period of time, and get a refund an amount less than you paid, you didn't lose £260 quid, you lost whatever the nearest replacement cost - the money they gave you. If that actually happened, you still have a right to be annoyed, but quantify the actual losses, not the prices of the card - the money you got back some time after using it.![]()
This. You can't seriously expect a full refund on what is actually now very much a used product.![]()
