It depends on how much of a lightweight you are. If you've been a frequent drinker for a number of years then it'll probably take a bit more to affect you.
Get something to eat before you have too much of it, it's lethal on an empty stomach - you can go from sober to airlocked in the space of about 5 minutes.

It is strong and it will get you wasted, enjoy it though. Certain people get nice effects like hallucinations from it

I thought the stuff that has hallucinogens in was illegal in the UK?

Even the mild stuff is quite strong though.

depends what your limit is. Just work out units per shot, then units you usually drink. However you do go though units fast. However at uni I used to drink 2-5shots before going out, makes it a cheap night that was 85% volume stuff. A mate did finish the bottle of due to pilling, around 12shots in one go. Didn't need medical treatment but was very ill over the toilet for over a day. Needless to say he never touched absinth again, carried on with the pills though :rolleyes:

Drank a lot of it before, its like any alcohol its not magical, if you drink enough of it, you will throw up, pass out in a pool of your own vomit.

You'll know when the time comes to stop. Be careful though. Every time I drink it it has a weird effect on me. It gets my body drunk but not my mind. I feel completely sober or just slightly tipsy yet when I get up from the chair to walk I end up collapsing into a heap on the floor. It's deadly confusing.

Same here, very odd tbh - was hilarious the first time it happened, but gets old fast. Absolutely incapable of controlling my legs after a few shots of Absinthe

my mum brought me back a bottle of Absynth (80%, 160 Proof) from Salou last month. I thougt I was being the big man saying to me mate that I would bring it over and we could have some shots before we went out. Well, I opened the bottle and it knocked me over. i was drunk just after smelling it

I will stick to me jagermeister.

I've been drinking it for some years now, have a bottle of 90% here.

For christs' sake don't drink it as shots though! its not a slammer. Have a read up on how to drink it properly.. or watch From Hell

EDIT - Oh and it's absinthe, not absynth or absinth

Can't remember what it's called but we had absynth put in a shot glass, a teaspoon of sugar dipped it in, lit it with lighter, blow out and mix in the shot glass.

was 80% .. was great stuff
