Is asking for a good will gesture cheeky?

A lot of places will do something nice for you if you spend a lot with them and they want to keep your custom. Also, if you're really polite and nice about it, people like dealing with you. :)

Wouldn't say it's cheeky. It's worth a try...

Personally I wouldn't have booked the powder coating session in without actually having the case. Saying that time constraints and what not...

There has also been some pretty huge inconvenience caused as it is your 'uni rig' as such...

there's no obligation on their part, but there would be an expectation on mine if it were me.

Yeah I did ask. However, the guy rang me from customer services today and mailed me out a new one to be delivered tomorrow along with collecting the new case. They gave a decent excuse and a very quick turn around a long with an apology.

Didn't offer me anything for my time but to be perfectly honest, customer support that good is enough for me.

What is with all the trolls though? I've never had this much of an issue before on a simple small thread.

I had a similar issue with a cycling gps from Evans, and i asked for some form of compensation and got a £15 voucher from it :)

I would have pushed harder for something! It was just them trying to pull a fast one sending you a returned product by the sound of it
