Is BF2 worth getting now?

Ok I got this from a purple high street retailer the complete edition was £9.99 or with another game £14.99 - mrs wanted a game as well, result!
 
Ugh, grabbed this cheap and having some problems with gamespy. I've got 2 email accounts, a gmail and a hotmail, both with GS accounts, and obviously both had different usernames. The hotmail had iviv, the gmail had ivivi.

But I don't use the hotmail one any more, so after much arsing about I got the gmail one to be iviv instead. Great. Go into BF2, enter my gmail and password, and its still giving me ivivi. And using my hotmail tells me I have the wrong password?
This is rather infuriating.

Edit: After a whole lot of messing around trying all my old passwords for my iviv account, I seem to have found what it is, since instead of giving me the 'incorrect password' message, I'm getting a 'the account is invalid. Either the name is incorrect, or already in use. Please try again.'

Which is just as useless to me :/

I remember once on Gulf of Oman (best map ever), we were losing a spawn point and I was in the Heli (USMC). I sprinted over there and there was a tank, APC and two cars all firing at me. I dodged the hell out of them all and hid behind a building. A teammate was nearby and he jumped into the gunner seat. I rose up from behind the building and we unleashed hell onto the base, killing loads of enemys and at the same time freindlys arrived mopping up those who where hiding. It was so so so so epic to watch.

I still play it now!
