My 6950XT whines if it starts running hundreds or even more fps on a menu, so does my 6700XT and so did my 3070 and my old 1080Ti was even worse for it.

Bear in mind that many claiming to have "no coil noise" simply have age related hearing loss (or have damaged their hearing via loud music etc), so to them, they're telling the truth.

This is definitely a factor. I only hear mine with my ear next to an open case. I have a younger friend who can hear it from a few meters away. That said put the side on and. Put it on the floor and it's not an issue, far more fan noise than coil whine.
