Going next week, my 4 year old really wants to meet Minnie mouse, all her clothes have her on and she is the best thing in the world in her mind, so pretty much the best holiday in the world for her. I think it all depends what your kids are into.
We live in a very stimulated society, where everything is desperately trying to draw our attention. Back in the day, Disney made amazing movies, that are still amazing today. But these days there's so much high impact media (strong colours everywhere, big sounds, etc) that I don't think kids today will quite feel the magic of the cartoons that we saw when we were young. The fact that "Cars" (an abomination of animation) is so loved by some of your children here only exclamates my point.

This ^
Sure it still has an impact but it's lessened of late because of other media. The fact that we're all waiting on the next Pixer movie not the next Disney movie makes my point
But Cars2? One of the worst CGI cartoons ever to be created. Pixar really should hang there heads in shame
I think you are just bringing in your OWN preceptions of it because you have grown up. It all changes again once you have a kid......
I really hated Disney stuff as a kid. No idea why. Now I have a wee nipper some of it is truly great. Some. I don't like how their DVDs are packed full of trailers and price fixed.
Pixar >than all of those.
I also think The Emperors New Groove is the funniest thing they ever produced
Take the muppets
Donald duck, mickey mouse etc are lost on 7 year olds today
