You might want to go back and check who brought up CPU's to begin with, clue: It wasn't me.
Please remember that any mention of competitors, hinting at competitors or offering to provide details of competitors will result in an account suspension. The full rules can be found under the 'Terms and Rules' link in the bottom right corner of your screen. Just don't mention competitors in any way, shape or form and you'll be OK.
No thanks! I was interested in seeing what people thought about Freesync and Gsync but had no interest in reading about CPUs, especially in this section. You might want to go back and check who brought up CPU's to begin with, clue: It wasn't me.
Personally, I think Freesync and Gsync are great and real game changers. Playing on a PS4 and it doesn't feel smooth at all but the PC simply smashes the consoles for this tech and I feel having NVidia support freesync is a real plus for the consumer. If you have a Freesync screen, there is a massive chance it will work with your GPU or if you want to buy a screen to go with your shiny new GPU, Freesync is a cheaper alternative to GSync, so a win either way for the PC gamer.
The reason I had my PS4Pro in it's box since got the Xbone X to pair it with the 55KS7000. And PS5 going to be the first PS I won't buy after 25 years, if it doesn't have Freesync support.
yeah cause 40-120hz sync is awesome on 30fps games lmao
I don't need to own one, digital foundry did that for me and as little as two months ago were saying that freesync is of little use in most games on the console.
Why is Nvidia a superior brand, because they're more expensive? Poorer image quality, poorly implemented gimmicky tech, poor price/performance, and gimped drivers ensuring people upgrade faster than they need to, oh on top of bribing and threatening tech journo's to give positive reviews or face not having any cards to review...
Nvidia are a scumbag corporation who are rank alongside, Google, Facebook, EA and Activision amongst others as the absolute worst of corporate greed and anti-consumer practices.
You noticed also?I take it you don't like NVidia much.![]()
You noticed also?
I see NVidia as a company that makes a product that suits my hobby, the same as Intel, AMD, EA, Uplay etc and I don't really care on the ethics of a company. So long as they keep bringing techs like Gsync, Raytracing, recording to the forefront of gaming (my hobby), they can crack on as far as I care.
You can criticise as much as you like, as I have no affiliation to Nvidia whatsoever. I do find your tone rather rude mind but whatever lol. Anyways, enjoy your hardware Pal and chill a bitThen why are you getting upset about criticism of Nvidia?
By the way, get your facts straight next time before you start posting half-baked nonsense about CPU's.

Amd is no vauxhall. vauxhalls rust and fall apart generally not made to last also both are built to a price not a standard.Just looked up two of the monitors mentioned still showing as freesync in the description.
Nvidia is a much superior brand than AMD, its like comparing a Mercedes to a Vauxhall.
It’s like paying a lot of money for a poverty spec car and go swinging the dangly bits about because of the badge.Lol. Not sure if serious
I go back and forth from AMD and Nvidia and never have issues. If what you are saying is true I call it PEBKAC. How hard is it to do a clean install of windows these days? Hardly takes any time and you end up with everything fresh and no problems. As for drivers being terrible, in terms of UI and feature-set AMD are miles ahead. Maybe you downloaded ATI drivers somehow?![]()

Don’t see how one can swing their two veg and sausage about paying more money for few % here and there.
Sorry I’m board killing time
Lets be honest here, Free/G Sync is only intended for monitors with very poor HW scalers (among other HW). When you have a decent, well ventilated HW for your monitor you will hardly notice, if ever, tearing.
I bet some of you could turn off Free/G Sync right now and play your favorite games and not notice any tearing. Plus, you get a slight reduction in input latency to boot.
It's been always said that if you see tearing in the games you play (even way back when 60hz was the best you could get) you had a crappy monitor.Turn on vsync and live with it (even back then a decent monitor wasn't cheap).
What AMD and Nvidia have done was found a way to compensate for crappy monitors. And believe me I've seen some of the same make/model that are much worst at tearing then others. Yet for others you have to go frame by frame looking for it in other monitors.
You ever wondered why AMD never made their windmill app publicly (and well known) available directly from them? Hint: It's not that serious.
Yeah, was a bit confused when I read his post. Was like, did I miss something? Lol.Sorry but if you really think that's the case then you have a serious misunderstanding of the freesync/Gsync technologies and the problem that prompted their development.
Tearing happens on any monitor. The quality of the monitor has no impact on this. It can happen at any framerate, but the closer the framerate is to a multiple of the monitor's refresh rate the less likely you are to see it. You are more likely to notice it at higher framerates because it happens more often. It depends on the game too. It's more easily noticed in some games than others.
And like all Visual things, some people are a lot more sensitive to tearing than others. You must be one of the people who don't notice it too much. For others the difference between Sync on and Sync off is night and day even with minimal screen tearing.
