is IntelBurnTest really better than prime95?

I agree with setter, a mix of both LinX/IBT, Prime95, and general day to day use (gaming, browsing, encoding etc etc) is the best method when testing for stability.

but there must be a voltage limit before degrading starts.
I just wouldn't even concern yourself with such matters or even talk about it . . .I've not heard anyone mention degrading AMDs and I've never experienced it myself . . . .

I have experienced degrading-like symptoms but this later turned out to be a bOrked O/S! :D

The reason I asked what have you been reading because even this thread smacks of someone who has skimmed read a few Core 2 Dup posts? . . . . I mean how many people have you heard saying Intel Burn Test is better than Prime95 on an AMD CPU?

Honestly I think you should forget most of what you have read and just learn from the experience of the hardware in front of you . . . .

Next thing ill be trying davy is 20x200 on my i7 rig, 21x193 was pretty easy but it leaves my ram a bit below its rated spec of 1600mhz, my curent vcore is nice an low at 1.2750, qpi at 1.300, hopefully it should be prety easy to stabilise at 20 x 200, if i can get that stable ill be aiming for 4.2ghz, probly on 21 x multi, just hope my current 400-1200 rpm pwm fans will cope, otherwise it'l be time to break out the sharkoon se 2000's, prety loud at full pelt but they shift a lot of air.
