Is it a Zetec or Zetec LX? Insurer needs to know, but I don't!

I would agree with this, the "fun" was nere sold in the UK with the 1.25, according to parkers, the fun came with the 1.3 engine.

Any wya, glad you got you know what car you have now though :D
 
Yeah it's good to know exactly what we've got :)

So it likely being an import from Jersey or somesuch... the Ford Etis site still says ' Territory: (+) "GB" ' ... we don't need to mark it as an import or anything when insuring, right? As far as insurers are concerned, it's still a GB vehicle?

I never had a problem with insurers. Just gave them the new reg and insured it with normally no further questions asked. I always let them know it was a Jersey import but this never was a problem, and didn't increase the price at all. Most ignored this fact.
