I was just watching YouTube and downloading games on steam and looked at MSI command centre and my Ryzen 3600 cpu was at 74c. Had no stability problems apart from one crash of chrome, Just a bit shocked coming from intel i5.

Thanks guys. Im very happy with performance in fact im gobsmacked. Playing gears 5 is now an incredible experience.

Ive just had a weird crash after playing dirt 3. System rebooted and got to windows then crashed again and rebooted again and when i got into windows MSI manager showed 82c. Now im a bit worried.

Im crashing all over the place now. My temp was 85c after a few reboots I think a better cooler is on the cards. Any recommends?

I'm not sure the I5 temps but I never had any bother with it I just let it do it's thing. The pc is in an enclosure in the desk I might have to remove from there in case of bad air flow. I'm thinking it could be a few things. I hooked up the front panel he audio to the mainboard, there's 2 connectors for this I may have used the wrong one. I also put the ram on xmp? In the bios as it was only running at 2400mhz and not 3200mhz it's rated at. I will more than likely purchase a better cooler though any recommendations?

Yes thanks guys. Humbug I just did what you said and its exactly like your example. Well ive updated the bios and enabled cpu heat warning in bios. Ive been playing gears of war 5 on ultra @ 1440p and everything seems rock solid stable, so far. Im not sure MSI software is all that accurate as last night when i crashed it said 84c and immediately entered bios and it was @ 44c so something wasnt right.

Cheers that looks just the tool im looking for. Im beginning to suspect the crashes were bios related. Since the flash ive been fine. I'll keep an eye on temps though. :)

Thanks for the advice. When i first put the cooler on with the stock AMD pad on there, i took it off again because it was interfering with the motherboards heatsink. So i think its not working as should. Ive got some Arctic Silver in my box so im going to take off and re seat. I'll report back.

Well ive taken the cooler off and replaced it using some AS 3. Seems better to me. It was absolutely caked in the crud AMD use as stock. I did notce the backplate fell of rather unhelpfully, on the motherboard i mean. Took off cleaned up and in bios i was @ 34c. in windows its been 42c - 70c tops. So its better but i will need a better cooler.

That was after running gears 5. I've been keeping a good eye on it today and I'm running very stabely today. Fingers crossed. :)

I've been looking a this cooler. What model is yours? Is it BK021 or BK022 and what's the difference? Looks nice and performance is great.

Ah my bad. One is dark rock and one is dark rock pro. Still don't know difference though.

That deepcool looks really impressive. Is it quiet?

I took a punt on that deepcool L120 im only losing 39.99 if its crap. Itll do until I purchase the darkrock pro. Mines just a static red but it doesnt bother me as itll go with my Red Devil and The red back glow of the Tomahawk max.

Yeah cheers, Im going to mount at back of my case too. I just bought the single 120mm fan one. My case is a Antec P100 and it does a good job of dampening sound so it should be fine.

Its got me a little confused fitting the deepcool. Do you use the outer brackets to attach backplate for AM4. Same as intel?
