Is it polite?

my friend used to widen his mouth with both hands just before burping to get maximum bass effect.my granddad used to say john wayne every time he burped.dont ask me why as i dont know either.

True. Belching, lipsmacking and tooth picking are all considered suitable gestures of appreciation at the dinner table by the people of the Gilbertese Islands.

Arthur Grimble commented on it in his book A Pattern of Islands, which records his experiences as a cadet administrative officer in the Gilberts.

farting in China shows you have 'good digestion' and is something to be proud off...

they also slurp at meals and spit bones etc out onto the floor, coughing up huge greeners aswell...


...and to think this race is taking over the world? :(
