As title. I'm just so hungry and they look alright. Common sense would say no, but if it doesn't make me ill I'd eat them. Anyone done something like that? It's been in the fridge, not freezer.

Smell them. If they smell allright then they're safe to eat. If they smell bad, throw them out. Believe me, when you smell them you'll know if they're off, they reek.

eat them but use my patented sausage super-cook method:

if frying:

Once sausages have been fryed all over, take them out of pan and cut in half straight down the length of the sausage so that the open like a book.

Place the sausage inside down back on the pan, this way you ensure the middle is totally cooked through :)

How else do I cook sausges through all the way?!

The missus and I have been going nuts trying to cook 'em all the way through but that's the only method we've found :o

turn the heat down and fry, oven or grill.

if your frying and the outside is brown before the inside is cooked then you have to much heat.

and use a small frying pan so there's not much empty pan, less chance of setting the fire alarm off.

Why take the chance just over a pack of sausages, just bin them.

Because that would mean a trip to the shops.

I've cooked up some stinky sausages before, ones that were sitting in the sun for ages while camping. They were great! Tasted a bit like the smell on the outside but no-one got ill

The meat content is so low that it lowers the chances of poisoning. Fact. :D ;)

You can tell by the smell whether something is OK to eat or not.

Sausages seem to 'ferment' it seems... getting an almost alcoholic smell when they're going off... They may not be entirely off at this stage, but they really don't taste nice.
