Is it safe to eat sausages that expired 3 days ago?

Definitely smell them, it'll be pretty obvious if they're off enough to harm you. However i wouldn't bother as even if its slightly off it seems to throw my guts off the day after :p

As title. I'm just so hungry and they look alright. Common sense would say no, but if it doesn't make me ill I'd eat them. Anyone done something like that? It's been in the fridge, not freezer.
How do people run out of food to the extent that all they have left to eat are some manky out of date sausages? Eww. Chuck 'em in the bin and go to the supermarket ffs ;)

i get really good results with the george forman grill - no need to cut in half or anything like that! i have eaten susages a little out of date. but as mentioned if they dont smell bad then they should be ok!

I do it quite often, sometimes having to resort to Coco Pops for my dinner. I think a combination of laziness and not being free when the supermarkets are open is to blame.

24/7 round here. Was on nights last week and shopping at 4:30am was a enjoyable experience. No cues, no one else, full shelfs..

Same round here and I always go early too - there are more staff in the shop than shoppers :)

Was just going to say that - surely there is a 24 hour supermarket not too far away.
I have to say, the only time I use supermarkets in the middle of the night is when I'm drunk.

/Remembers going into Tesco at 3am dressed in a tuxedo to buy bread and bacon to make bacon sarnies

The only 24/7 place round here is Tesco in Slough and I refuse to shop in it due to the overpowering smell of body odour from the unwashed clientelle.
I'd rather have a bowl of Coco Pops :D
