picking up a certain forum members car tomorrow.

some of you may recognise it... ;)

booked in for a DMS remap and delimit on friday and then off to nurburgring on sunday morning. :D

sleeping tonight is going to be tough. :(

he wishes. a friend /work colleague is buying it. which is good as i still get to see it and he has promised that i still get to play in it occasionally. :)

DMS remap is apparently good for around 548bhp. although the quoted figure of 507bhp for the car is apparently conservative. its more likely around 520-530bhp as standard.

remap also give delimit, more torque throughout rev range and i think it changes the gear shifting profile :)

oh noes

your current old M5 is V8 with the matching plate V8 WTF

V10 WTF is unavailable

bummer :(

OT, i'm not being rude or asking about your salary or anything, but what's your job title of out of interest ?

if my mate sells the car he has to give me first option on V8WTF at the price i paid for it.

havent thought about a plate for the new car yet, although i did know that V10WTF is already gone.

job title is company director, company of which i have a reasonable share in.

ah allways wondered why you had such nice toys :D

V12 WTF is still available however.... hmm ;)

i need it to grow 2 extra cylinders lol!

still a bit behind 2 of my co-directors in terms of toys. one of them has just got an aerial atom which i was out in yesterday :D that thing is pretty nuts.

Nice one matey, going to be interesting how you find the new beast round the track compared to the old one, i imagine you will be taking it easy!

Try and upload some shots / vids if dave can process some whilst at the ring :)

taking it easy  :p

just got back to london in one piece.

all i can say is WOW! this thing really shifts once it gets going and the SMG is perfect for london.

still havent worked out any of the IDrive stuff, thats the project for tonight. :D

two tanks of fuel later, checking that the limiter works and getting in at 1am after a drive.

will try and get some pics later but the cover is covered and dust and dead flies after doing around 600 miles yesterday (including Spie's trip down) :)

i filled up twice, Spie had already filled once for the trip down. 3 tanks :(

trip computer says averaging 10.5mpg so far

You should manage an average of 7mpg easily :D I managed that over a day at Oulton in the CSL, which looks like an ECO-CAR compared to your bruiser :D

8.1mpg on the way in.
this is just on the way to work, not round a track. managed 6 and a bit in the E39 around the 'ring.

wonder what i will get in the E60. :)
