Not metal and sadly they split up last summer but Black Peaks 2nd album All That Divides is an absolute banger.

Ghost are one of the best Pop/Rock bands I've ever heard, definitely not metal.
I've just been playing the new album on a walk for about the 30th time.

If anything, I think metal is seeing a resurgence! Loads of good stuff going about these days if you don't mind wading through some mediocre stuff to find it
