Not really - from a cold start I sometimes have to hit the reset button but I hadn't really considered that. I've tried another PSU and it has seemed to get better (no resets in over 90 mins now) but I've had to disconnect so much (including my graphics card) that I'm not sure whether to risk buying another PSU tomorrow.

Replaced my PSU today with a 730w BeQuiet and - so far - the problem hasn't reappeared.

Unplug the lead from the PSU, remove the battery on the mobo, leave for 10 minutes.
Put battery back in, put lead back into PSU.
Turn on and boot to BIOS, you should be stock.

Ill try another CMOS reset tonight. Yes wazza does this from 100% cold starts. And Ill have a look around and see if I can find which BIOS they use idleman cheers.

cold boots are usually dram or cpu vtt related, can also be bios bug, test with just one ram stick installed from a cold start up

Hm. Well currently my BIOS settings won't change so a BIOS bug is quite visable? Although I have updated my BIOS since I originally had this problem.

could be,also each bios will be slightly different in how much voltage you need to be stable, some use less and some use more

Does it occur with everything at stock/auto? I see you have updated the bios. I would do that again incase it has had a bad flash and dont forget to clr_cmos when you have updated.

Just a thought, but if Ocuk hasve tested it and said the mobo is ok, then the bios should also be ok. Therefore it is most likely a hardware issue. If you can find out how they tested it, maybe you could replicate the test and illiminate the culprit.

Please list the settings for multi, voltage, vdroop settings and bclk as I'm suspecting one of your default values is wrong. Only reason your bios wouldn't save correctly is possibly a dead battery or incorrect default settings for the cpu. If you can't change them at all reflash to the earliest bios available that began to support the new 3770k.

EDIT: I freakin' hate it when new stuff doesn't just work!

They only tested that it posts since that was the error I sent i in for. Problem occurs with just cpu RAM and not using a display and just 1 stick of RAM. I don't have a hdd so thats eliminated. Everything is at stock/auto all the settings seem fine to me. Though my dram wont go lower than 1.65v when it use to.

So I no longer get bios beeps but rather a debug error of A2 (does not go beyond POST with this error) but error A2 indicates IDE detect... but theres nothing in the IDE or does this mean I need to plug in my SSD?
