Is my F1 dead?

My Sammy Spinpoint F1 1TB is telling me in bios that it is a 33mb hard drive.
Windows tells me the drive needs formatting, disk management tells me the same.
I don't have a floppy to make a dos boot disk to run samsungs diagnostic tool and dunno how to make a cd version of one tbh.
I've tried brand new sealed sata cable and also different slots on the motherboard to no avail.
Can't even get on bloody samsungs RMA page as it just keeps timing out!!
I checked back on my OCUK orders and I ordered the drive on 9th Jan 2009 so it's deffo still in warrenty. Bloody thing was nearly full too and now it's looking like i'm gonna loose all that stuff!!!

Any ideas?

Not here, but I was gonna try that later, gonna stick it in an external USB enclosure I have kicking about with an older 250GB WD drive in it.
Can someone else try going to sammys warrenty page and see if it loads for them?

Works here. Might want to try the site now or later. Had (still having) similar issue with the ASUS site. Been trying to register a new sound card for a couple of days. One of the slowest, unreliable, awkward sites out there...but I diverge

Try booting from a flash drive into dos maybe or does command line mode work ?

Try true image and or chkdsk /x /r /v

well i'm giving up for now.. will try again tomorrow when I have more time. It's actually a friends drive so I'll just take it home with me and see what I can sus out.. cheers for now guys.

RMA it through OCUK or direct with the manu's either way the drive is still under warranty
