Is My M4 Kaput?

This was a few weeks ago.

And this is how it looks now. Must be looking at an RMA, but do I go through Crucial or the retailer?

No mate, just copied the M4 to a hdd and then deleted and re-installed windows.

it could be degradation due to use idk,or trim not maintaining the drive as well as it should,certain fw can affect the drive also

to put it back and restore lost performance secure erase is the best

compare the screenshots, your alignment is off.

you can use paragon alignment tool,it will align it correctly without re installing

Thanks for that, done a bit of research after my last post and came across that on another forum.
Have tried to align it with Partion Mini Wizard, but not completely back .to normal.

Can`t get a hold of a copy of Paragon, lost my copy and am not paying £26 for software I will properly only use once in ablue moon.
Am now in tne process of cloning ssd and will secure erase before re-installing.

Update.

Have done a secure erase and the ssd is now properly aligned, but the ssd results have not improved. Ran it as soon as i had installed windows( score 555) and just ran it just now after installing chipset drivers and AV(score 456). I am now at a loss as to what is happening. I have also installed the latest M4 update.
The thing that is annoying me most is how long programmes take to respond, my hdd is quicker.

I had 010G installed since November and just updated to 040H yesterday. I am trying to remember if 0309 came before 010G, if so, how can I install an older driver?

running 0309 on both my 64gb M4's dont seem to have any issues at all pal with this version

You can just flash the fw back,I've flashed to an older fw on my corsair ssd just fine

Just tried to install 0309 via USB drive twice and both times failed to find the drive. The drive is plugged into the Intel port not Marvell.

Just ran AS SSD again and the score is now in the low 70`s, bit of an improvement. I did notice earlier whilst doing all the updates, something to do with SCSI I think that`s what it said. Some driver update for the M4. So I will just see how things go over the next few days and play it by ear.

No problem,using latest Intel rapid storage drivers will improve speeds a bit more
