Is My PC okay for 2x7950?

I just remember you being all i5 and i wanted to know whats up, thats all.

Some guy posted a chart of his FX8320, I posted a chart of my i5 being faster.

He went in denial and called me a cheat, I called him a n00b

Admin gave me an infraction, I called admin an idiot, admin banned me.

:D

You called him a noob? No wonder you got infracted, and it doesnt really surprise me that the i5 is faster in Crysis ONE than the i5. All you where doing was to compare IPC lol.

You should've used cinebench or newer games to be more realistic and compare over-all performance.

But yea, i realized i7s are better, didnt bother with i5s. So i got an i7 3930k and a loop for it. Quite happy with 4.9 as 24/7 :D

That Crysis 1 was just to.prove to everyone that an AMD CPU can't Max out a 7950 in every game like everyone kept claiminging.

And all Cinebench is going to do is bench IPC is it not ;)

Don't see the point of benching newer games only as people don't only play newer ones, I play newer games and older games so I need my CPU to have both good single and multi-threaded performance.

1. Correct to a certain extent.

2. Cinebench will use all threads...

3. People dont play BF4?

4. i5s multithreading isnt really impressive tbh.

4. How you figure that? Anything that uses over 1 core is considered to be multi-threaded and only in extreme situations does an AMD CPU beat it despite having more 'cores' and that's not impressive?

That psu is rubbish. It is supposed to have a pair of 21A 12v rails so 502w although having seen the insides of a CIT psu, that overly optimistic. It also says it has 29A on the +3.3v rail and 32A on the +5v rail. To make matters worse, it only has a single 6 pin PCI-e cable which is pathetic for a so called 700w psu. Then again what do you expect for £25.

OP, as a rough guide you should be looking at around £10 per 100w for a quality psu. The one you have is £3.57 per 100w!! It's not certified either so is likely to be horribly inefficient.

im debating getting another 7950 but only run one screen @ 1080p would this just be massive overkill? or do people think this kind of grunt will needed soon?
