I thought that was quite good considering. The days of £250 a room are long gone.

was speaking to another painter last week, he said he only started painting in Feb of this year and is booked up until October :cry: Said he's never known anything like it.

The ONE other painter who did contact me was £500 a room, all the others never replied back.

We paid 1.5k for our entrance and hallways to be done about 5 years ago so sounds like a bargin to me!

Iv just recently re-painted them and took me about 4/5 days labour and a lot of swearing.

Yeah, the thing is, I literally haven't the time. If you have a stress free job with plenty of time on your hands than fair enough.

Maybe you should spend the cash on a PRINCE2 course and manage your time more effectively and thus less stress?

Thats insane i dont think id ever pay that much for internal painting. Even though i wouldn't do a amazing job painting indoors isn't "hard".
Now painting outside like my whole crappy wooden house needs.... Thats another story because it involves ladders lifts, many undercoats and for me especially heights :p
God did not design me for dangling and balancing on crappy ladders.

ok if you are getting a whole house done at one time, the novelty will soon ware off but surely at the same time there is a bit of I did that pride and a sense of achievement? If not then why care how it looks, that sounds weird but i think i know what i mean.

Myself and my partner did the hallway and stairs in 2 days. From dusk till dawn. That was wallpaper stripped, new paper put up and painted. As people have mentioned it isn't hard job at all that anyone can do it with a little research. Proper job as well, all light sockets and radiators removed.

£1.9k for four bedrooms is nuts :o . If the guy is getting that work all year or even half of it he is clearing 50-80k before tax.
