is OS 3.0 Out Midnight?

Mine is downloaded but when trying to install gets "activation server error" It's a pain!
 
so guys, is it faster overall?

anyone JB'ed it yet?

also is this update cumulative? or do i have to download and install 2.2.1 first?

Trying it around 10-13 times should start the installation.

People on other forums are suggesting you disconnect the internet just after the update process starts to extract the downloaded file.
 
** ANYONE WHO GETS ACTIVATION ERRORS **

afaik this little trick only works on windows! :)

-close down iTunes, and disconnect your iPhone/Touch

-Fire it back up, and connect your back your device.

-When it tells you that there is a new update available and do you wish to install it, press okay.

-While it is saying unpacking firmware, DISCONNECT YOUR PC FROM THE NET. you have to be quick, it only says this for a couple of seconds.

-Voila! your device will skip past calling home, and will continue to install the new firmware!

installation takes around 10 minutes, do not reconnect the internets until your back on the home screen in 3.0.

To those of you who have upgraded to 3.0 successfully, can you confirm whether this works okay with any O2 simcards, monthly and PAYG? Thanks in advance!
 
Update all done, seems pretty good.

One feature I'm liking is the background sending of texts, something it should have had since day one!

I'm the complete opposite. I always want to send the message then close the app. I don't trust it to do it in the background.
