This is why I want two cars, parking the 'shed' on the street.
Such a waste of money really, and the Z3 is hardly the worst car in the world in which to commute..

If it turns out this guy can't afford the repair (how much do people think it will be?) what options does he have? Go through his insurer instead?

Hmm?

I've sold the Volvo now (as long as it passes its MOT), so I'll keep commuting in the Z3. If something interesting comes up, then maybe I'll buy it.

Panda 100hp? E36 323ti? old Saab 9-3?

I really don't know. This is why having 2 cars is a waste of money
