Indeed, it seems to be so. But with a £100 difference to the Q6600 I'm not sure its great value tbh.

But its newer tech, and there will always be a premium for the new stuff.

Looking at the new additions I couldn't help but stall on the QX9770 page - £998 inc vat

Thats one insanely expensive cpu! But hey new tech so as Easy said its always going to command a premium (some premium that is though!)

Once there's competition the prices will drop. Atm OcUK seem to have the only stock in Britain, and thus they'll take advantage of that fact. Normal business procedure.

Just checked on the website, and the oem's have gone up in price, when I first noticed them. They were the same price. I guess business is that good

I didn't note the exact price before but it seems to have gone up by nearly £20 since this morning!

wait for nehalem, yorkfield is just a non starter at those prices unless you start seeing pigs in the sky with 600FSB motherboards attached to them.
