Is the Xbox 360 Live Vision Camera worth £10.97

Mine is cancelled too. Emailed them back informing them they've lost a customer for life; I suggest everyone emails them similar. Dont give them the satisfaction of buying something else using the £5 off voucher!
Agrred, if you wanna forward the email to me and I adjust my name, etc and send them that email that be great.(I'm to lazy to write one myself :p )

Nice work by them,

"hey boss, we have **** load of 99p items in the warehouse"
"post on a few forums a deal they can get an 360 camera for £9.99 if they buy stuff for 99p, then cancel the orders and send out the 99p item"

:D

I think they would have honored it if there had been a few orders, but no doubt there was 10s of thousands.

^^ this is a good idea guys. If they get a bunch of emails in their inbox for tomorrow morning, they might reconsider. There WAS clearly some kind of discount due on the cam - so the fact they've scrapped the whole thing, and not instead offered us an amended offer price is weird.

Thing is here fellas, that quite a few people have actually got the camera at the price advertised.
If that is the case, then how the hell can they say that it was mis-priced. I mean, surely they should either honour all deals or none at all??

Anyway, I mailed them this morning.

That was my point exactly re: some people actually receiving it. They chose to honour some and try and fob the others off. I really feel the law should be a bit stronger in this area; trading standards should at least be able to do them for false advertising. As it stands, they just claim misprice and rip us all off!

Cant understand why people get worked up about stuff like this, some people got lucky with a cheap camera and some didn't - I would just accept it and carry on as normal if I hadn't got one.

There's always a risk with one-off deals like this.

Woolworths did the exact same thing with the 360 hdd, had it priced at £30 sent out the stock in the warehouse then told everybody else it was a mistake, I was fuming but nothing happend apart from I sent them an email saying I would never shop at woolworths again.

But why should they be able to get away with it? Its purely a marketing ploy - drive an assload of traffic to their site, cancel the orders, still charge people for a load of items they probably didnt want in the first place, and probably wont bother to return. 10,000 people ordering an item which they didn't want is still £10,000+ of sales for them, and clears a load of "unsellable" stuff from their warehouse. However, they don't count the cost in losing customers, as I certainly won't shop their again.
