By REALLY I don't just mean emptying your recycling bin. I realise that some programs and data recovery companies can retrieve so called 'permanently deleted files'. Apparently windows just puts an '0' infront of the coding or something to hide it although the content has been deleted. I want to know if you can delete the hidden files too. I have heard if you use an industrial magnet on the hard drive it deletes it all, is that true? Also, formatting the hard drive doesn't get rid of the information. I just wondering as it seems the only way to actually destroy your data is to actually destroy your hard drive.
