Is there anyway of looking online....

Do you need any special kit for this? I have a Nikkon D80 with the kit 18-135mm lens and a tripod. Really want to have a go at this and maybe on a winding country road. But could be hard finding one with cars on it at night :p.

No special kit needed, they are dead easy to do.

Camera on said tripod.

ISO100 - Shutter speed set to however long you want, or if you have a remote shutter just set it to bulb mode, focus set to infinity and go from there really. WB I just leave on auto and adjust it manually when post processing.

Like I say, dead dead easy :) - Good first shots for any SLR beginner, will give you a good understanding of exposure and ISO as well.

@Sukh - I'll just upload the full size 3000 and something by 2000 and something and then you can stretch, crop, whatever? ok :)

Very nice, do you edit that picture to give it them effects or is it from a setting on the SLR?
Its just a long shutter speed, even many compact cameras can do it. I know very very little about photography, but managed to get very similar shots, its surprisingly easy.

Thanks for the comments guys.

I do want to expand my motors portfolio, I'm by no means anywhere near as good as rg-tom but if anyone is relatively closeby and wants some pics doing drop me an email [email protected] - you can have the final images free as long as I can host them on my site :)

Damn you phate that background has caused screenburn :p
