well my e39 has proven to be perfect done 1500 miles in it so far,

the air con and pusher fan was working perfect icy cold, just didnt work 1st time because it only works above 5*c

brand new front pads are £40 omgz this is a monster to run

Great buy to be honest. As you've seen they can be picked up for an absolute bargain.

But please go for the V12. Same running costs as the V8.

You do realise that even specialist BMW independents usually won't service them, as hardly anyone knows anything about the V12.

No, you're right, they aren't complex, rare, or in any way hard to work on.

Go for it. I've even got a set of chocolate spanners you can have to work on it with.
