Is this a dead pixel?

I'm thinking of getting this monitor, what are your impressions of it?

Can't you return it under the distance selling act if it has a dead pixel?
Porviding you have everything it came with and its under 7 days since you bought it you ought to be able to.

you can return most things under the 7 day no reason needed thing, but you will have to foot the bill for the postage.

The occasional manufacturer hands out pixel warranties these days, they didn't used to. Viewsonic being the one that springs to mind - you can RMA their VP range (and some of the other ranges probably) within the first week or so if it has a dead pixel. most require you to have 3 or 4 (or in some cases 9 or 10) faults. It varies from one manufacturer to the next.

I think a certain veiwsonic range are the only monitors that have a complete 0 faulty pixel warranty, so in most cases you probably have to resort to footing the postage bill to send it back.

I would imagine that cheaper monitors are more likely to have problems, but i'd rather take my chances and have to pay postage back if need be rather than pay more for a more expensive model.
