Hey guys i wanna build a new pc, what u think of these parts ? r they all compatable ? would you change anything ?

and i have this case its all going into

http://www.pcassist.co.uk/html/Case_X-Blade.jpg

i think the case comes with a 450w psu, i think should be enough to run what i need.

Also i was planning on waiting for the new AMD CPU but it seems its going to be awhile before that comes out, will this motherboard be futureproof ?

No hotlinking.

I would look at getting the Samsung F3 500GB as it will be much faster than the 640GB Western Digital Caviar Blue:

Also the generic PSU in the case you have shown would not be a good choice.

I would get the following PSU instead:

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-017-CS

It is made by Seasonic who make PSUs for many industrial uses and are one of the best PSU companies.

Here is a review of the PSU:

Despite being nominally rated as a 400W PSU it can actually provide upto around 480W.

The motherboard is a good choice as it has an 8+2 phase VRM with cooling which would mean it can easily handle even the highest TDP AMD desktop processors.

Also, the motherboard has the HD4200 IGP with 128MB of dedicated DDR3. The IGP is based on the GPU found in the HD3450 graphics card.

Thanks for the info guys, i have changed the HDD now thanks for that :D

as for the case, the place i was buying it from is out of stock so cant get that no more :S everywhere i phone doesnt seem to have it, so im going to have to pick another one, i would much rather buy one from overclockers, but they dont come with a PSU and my budget is rather limited i have £50 to spend on a case + PSU

that case is really awful mate, before i found out about overclockers many moons ago i was ripped off buying a full system from the bay with that exact case and looking back everything about it was awful.

whats the difference with these PSU's compared to the ones that come with a case, i bought a PC from pcworld many moons ago and im still actualy useing the case and PSU now lol it has served me realy realy well

i would much prefair to order all my parts from the one place, currently lookin what OC offers on this

The case is ghetto and will come with a suitably ghetto power supply.

Also if you want to do anything worthwhile (gaming) you'll want a graphics card.

And if you want to listen to music without it sounding like arse, you'll want a sound card too.

You obvo don't know what you're doing. Buy a bundle.

It is better quality and you are also going for a higher end processor too so I would not be running such a processor off a cheap PSU. Also if you intend to get a graphics this will compound things even more as modern graphics cards consume far more power than their older predecessors.

Another aspect is the design of the older PSUs. Most of them supplied more power through the 3.3V and 5V lines rather than the 12V line since older PCs derived most of their power from the first two lines. However in modern PCs most of the system power is derived from the 12V line. Most of the cheaper PSUs still follow the older power distribution meaning potential issues.

Also the Corsair will be more efficient than most of the cheaper PSUs meaning that the amount of power the PC consumes less.

just because i dont have those things listed, doesnt mean i dont have them lol i cant afford to upgrade everything in one go, so im doing it in stages, i have gfx card not that good HD3650 but it will do me untill i have enough to get a new one, as for sound lol well onboard has served me well for years so i see no reason why i should break that :P

Would you mind re-using your case for the time being then??

Ok after some adjustments i think i have found something that suits me price wise, how does this look ?

i cant reuse my case, giving it to family member along with some parts i dont need anymore, only thing im taking out of it is my gfx card and HDD oh and dvd drive
