Is this a graphics problem?

I thought I had a bent pin but i've checked and there's no sign of one. It only happened this morning when I put my old sound card in my new system, but surely that wouldn't cause this mess.

Can't see **** Captain. Maybe it's distortion from the monitor and your display device is actually fine.

Try taking a photograph of the screen.

It looks fine here, you would need to take a photo to show it. Its either a monitor prob or driver.. same happened to me. Does it do the same in safe mode?

Unless your on about the slim lines along the top?

Yeah I was wondering what that was, but it doesn't look like any problem I can think of

Really need some feedback from fenderbass to work it out.

Really? You can't see it? No blurryness? Remeber that thread in GD when people were MS painting each others sigs, it looks like the desktop has been blurred and MS painted.

Well it is a jpeg so it just looks like a bad jpeg :\

Stick a bitmap up, it'll be hefty but at least we'll be able to see.

Or just a good quality non resized jpeg?

Nope as its just a JPEG so will look fine on our screens, needs to be a photograph. :)

Reminds me of those threads, 'is this a dead pixel' and the pic was just a JPEG. :p

Nope looks fine to me, looks better than the JPEG, need to take a photo of the screen as pics will always look fine on our screens. ;)

If the screen is slightly blurry trry altering your refresh rate.
On my tft 60Hz is crystal clear, whilst higher ones get distorted

Remember this is the monitor, not the actual quality of the camera!

It's absolutely fine in games though, it's just the desktop it occurs.

Have you checked the number of colours the graphics driver is using? Looks a bit like it's running in like 16 colours.
Try uninstalling drivers and seeing what happens.
Although to be honest, as the first few shots you posted look ok it is more likely to be monitor issue. How many pins ar there in the monitor cable?

Considering that the Print Screens are fine and that the photo shows its messed up: I think its your monitor or some sort of signal output problem.

I can't see it being a monitor problem if his games are running fine, as surely if he starts playing games, then those would look pink etc... as well.
