is this boot up normal?

I used to seen Asus mainboard got its own Bios boot up OS for internet browsing called "Expressed Gate" os. We have to disable it in the Bios otherwise it is going to take 10 to 30seconds before the HDD boot to the Microsoft Windows.

Maybe you can check with your mobo and see if it comes with similar Bios OS app installed and needs to disable that in the Bios.

Generally, it boots up fine though.

Hope this helps!

Thanks dude... Still running strong for a low powered 24/7 machine :D

do you use it to play video?

i have my old shuttle hooked up in the front room, which has a meaty cpu, AMD Phenom II X4 3.4 GHz Processor. but had to buy a new video card as the onboard could not encode at a sensible speed.

Yes of course - That's the whole purpose for it ;)

It sits in the living room connected to the TV via HDMI ...

Software : ubuntu/XBMC/SickBeard/SabNZB+/Torrentfluxb4rt/My home monitoring kit
Temp/Semi temp Storage : 2 x 3TB drives that just sit there in silicone cases connected using SATA cables taken from inside the case (15 min idle spin down on 1 and 2 min idle spin down on the other)
